about
First original track recorded with new gear! With the new, I felt like doing something different from what I usually write by myself, so I decided to try something with a more electronic feel. This was my first time working with software recording and it was a lot of fun! The song more or less deals with my memories of various women and wondering how much of my attraction to them was just due to the atmosphere of a single moment.
lyrics
(Tonight, let's lose ourselves to the music)
When I looked into your eyes, I knew I’d be after you tonight
The song sent chills right down my spine, someway, somehow I’d make you mine
Tonight, let’s lose ourselves to the music dear
Maybe at the end we’ll catch ourselves falling in love
As the beat takes over and we move closer, we lose all sight of fear
No matter what’s next, I just can’t get enough
There’s something about you, it’s no lie, it’s something that makes me come alive
And I felt it now, more than ever, I wanted to stay in this moment forever
Tonight, let’s lose ourselves to the music dear
Maybe at the end we’ll catch ourselves falling in love
As the beat takes over and we move closer, we lose all sight of fear
No matter what’s next, I just can’t get enough
It seems my heart is under arrest again
Oh girl how you always take my breath away
All I wanna do is hold you in my hand
Baby please let me be your man
Tonight, let’s lose ourselves to the music dear
Maybe at the end we’ll catch ourselves falling in love
As the beat takes over and we move closer, we lose all sight of fear
No matter what’s next, I just can’t get enough
Tonight, let’s lose ourselves to the music dear
Maybe at the end we’ll catch ourselves falling in love

Hi I'm Joe DiMaria, a Southern California local. I've loved playing music for most of my life and have recently started
recording my compositions. Like a lot of my favorite bands, I have a hard time really labeling my style. Some influences range from jazz to rock, Britpop, even electronic...so I guess I'll just throw myself under the umbrella of "Alternative" :P...more
